Ancient astrologers sought meaning in the cycles and patterns of the stars and seasons. They noted that the shape of a ram appeared in the sky in the reawakened spring and named the figure Aries—assigning it to the first position in the Zodiac. As spring ushers in new life, the ram and its cornucopia shaped horn—the “horn of plenty”—also came to symbolize abundance. Kelly Cozart’s homage to the ram, and a reawakened spirit is also a superbly crafted symbol of strength, leadership, and courage.
